Applications are available at the courthouse or click here to download Notary Form.  There is a $20.00 fee.  You must have the application notarized and submit it in the county where you reside.  Notary commissions are not effective until the County Assistant Judges have approved the appointment.  You must not perform notarial acts until you receive confirmation that your appointment has been approved.  Commissions expire every four years.  The next expiration date is 2/10/2011.
